With Skin in mind…

Do I need to have a skin consultation at the beginning of my first Muse treatment?

For the very best outcome for you, YES! An initial consultation allows us to hear your skin goals and learn a little bit more about your lifestyle. It also helps us to create a clear results-driven plan to work towards your skin goals.

I have sensitive skin, will I be ok having a facial with Muse?

Great question! And the answer is yes. Why? Because at Muse we provide facials that work synergistically with your skin. Meaning, we have taken the time during our initial consultation to understand your skin, what it needs, and how it will likely react to certain products.

WHEN CAN I INCREASE THE STRENGTH OF MY PRODUCTS AND TREATMENTS?

With skin, stronger is not always better. Your skin has to be ready for the change or increase in activity. We recommend staying in touch and booking regular appointments to determine when to safely make product + treatment changes.

IS IT SAFE TO USE VITAMIN A IN TREATMENTS, I HAVE HEARD IT CAN PEEL THE SKIN OFF?

The use of Vitamin A can produce a temporary ‘response phase’ and this is very normal. You may experience redness, itching, irritation, or flaking. Our therapists are very educated in the use of Vitamin A and can alleviate any response discomfort – You’re in good hands!

With clinical beauty in mind…

WHAT IS SKIN NEEDLING AND DOES IT HURT?

Skin needling is a non-surgical skin treatment using microneedles to stimulate the skin’s natural healing response and promote collagen and elastin production. A mild numbing cream is applied at the beginning of your treatment allowing you to close your eyes, focus on your breathing, and relax!

HOW MANY NEEDLING APPOINTMENTS WILL I NEED?

It is recommended that skin needling is provided as a course. This may consist of 3-6 treatments depending on the condition being targeted. We will advise you on the number of treatments that will be right for you.

WHAT ARE INJECTABLES?

Cosmetic injectables are a non-surgical procedure, where a qualified practitioner will administer either a small amount of purified protein into specific facial muscles, to soften the appearance of lines and ageing or to ease facial tension (anti-wrinkle/muscle relaxant), or a gel like substance injected to restore lost volume & minimise asymmetry (dermal filler).

WHO PERFORMS THE INJECTABLES AT MUSE SKÌN – CLINICAL BEAUTY & AESTHETICS?

All injecting procedures are carried out by Dr. Nick Cutfield who has over 4 years of training and injecting experience. It’s normal to feel a little nervous, so feel free to talk to your injectables team about any of your concerns.
